Online collaboration

Students will be using the resources available at PortableRecorder.ca to develop their proficiency on the recorder. Each student, with their teacher's assistance, will determine what level of ability they are currently at and aim to complete five recorder "belts" by the end of this unit.

Picture/Audio/Video Files

The picture, audio and video files found at PortableRecorder.ca are also on the Zune players available in each classroom.  There will be opportunities for students to work with these devices and, on occasion, sign them out for home use.

Online Meetings Between the Two Classes

Blogs

Both classes maintain a class blog (MrToft.ca and MrsSmith.ca).  Students will be come proficient in writing posts, leaving comments and using the site as means to find information connected to their classrooms.

Adobe Connect

The students will use video conferencing technlogy in a variety of ways.  For example, students will perform for each other as a whole class, small group and individuals. Recorded performances and compositions will shared and feedback given. Meeting online will allow students to see, hear and demonstrate how the various collaboration projects are progressing.
