1.Students in Mr. Toft's class write (publishing on NoteFlight.com) and record themselves performing the first eight bars of a song.  If time allows, accompaniment could be added to the song with Acid Xpress.

2. Students in Mrs. Smith's class listen to the first half of the song and "finish" the song by composing its last eight bars.  If time permits, they can extend the accompaniment on the Acid Xpress file.  Mrs. Smith's class records themselves playing the entire sixteen measure song.

3. The performance of the sixteen bar song is recorded posted to class Zunes and blogs along with the music notation.

NOTE:  Mrs. Smith's class will also create the first eight bars of a song following the same procedure to allow for both classes to experience starting and finish a song.
